1969. Midnight Cowboy - Jon Voight, Dustin Hoffman - 3 Oscars, 25 outros prémios - "A naive male prostitute and his sickly friend struggle to survive on the streets of New York".
O filme era bom, mas insuficiente para que o recorde em detalhe. Todavia, por razões que me escapam, ao longo destes anos todos, cada vez que, como hoje, preparo o regresso a Portugal, ando por casa a trautear "Everybody's Talking At Me".
"Everybody's talking at me.
I don't hear a word they're saying,
Only the echoes of my mind.
People stopping staring,
I can't see their faces,
Only the shadows of their eyes.
I'm going where the sun keeps shining
Thru' the pouring rain,
Going where the weather suits my clothes,
Backing off of the North East wind,
Sailing on summer breeze
And skipping over the ocean like a stone."
Only the echoes of my mind.
People stopping staring,
I can't see their faces,
Only the shadows of their eyes.
I'm going where the sun keeps shining
Thru' the pouring rain,
Going where the weather suits my clothes,
Backing off of the North East wind,
Sailing on summer breeze
And skipping over the ocean like a stone."
